By the end of 2024, the global capacity is expected to hit 593 gigawatts. This growth is far outpacing initial forecasts from the International Energy Agency, by roughly 200 GW.
Major contributors include China, which accounts for more than half of all new installations, as well as the U.S., India, Germany, and Brazil.
