Liberty Energy is bringing modular gas-fired generation to a 875-acre Pennsylvania industrial park
The 25 MW “power blocks” will provide onsite generation for the future Fort Cherry Development District, potentially scaling to over 1 GW of capacity over time. Possible customers include scalable data centers and other large load industrial facilities.
The modular systems will source fuel from the nearby Marcellus Shale region, in hopes of delivering consistent power to industrial users.
Why does this matter?
As electrification accelerates and the grid is stressed, localized energy solutions like this could offer a path forward — especially in power-dense industrial regions. Liberty’s model, which taps into local gas supplies while avoiding grid congestion, might be a better solution for how future industrial energy is deployed.
