Several major companies, including Google and AstraZeneca, have become Founding Partners for Climate Group’s 24/7 Carbon-Free Coalition.
Other early adopters include Iron Mountain Data Centers, Shree Cement, AirTrunk and Vodafone UK. The goal of Climate Group’s 24/7 Coalition is to deliver carbon-free electricity to the local grid to match corporate electricity use.
By pledging to use carbon-free electricity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, large companies will be more involved in increasing renewables and battery storage, as well as using dispatchable tech when intermittency issues arise.
