EV Sales To Hit 17 Million in 2024

According to the latest IEA report, 2024 is projected to see a record 17 million electric cars sold worldwide. That’s a 25% increase from last year.

The global shift to EVs is accelerating. This growth is partially thanks to expanded EV supply chains and supportive governmental policies, particularly in China, the US, and the EU.

China is expected to lead with nearly 1 in 3 of all new cars being electric by 2030. It’s clear there is a major shift in consumer preferences.

This ongoing transition presents both opportunities and challenges for the auto industry and related sectors. Think manufacturing strategies, supply chain, charging infrastructure, and more.
