Climeworks and Coca-Cola HBC have launched Valser, the first carbon-neutral sparkling water, using carbon captured directly from the air.
This initiative shows the potential of Direct Air Capture (DAC) to address both climate change and CO2 shortages in the food and beverage industry.
Climeworks is operating multiple ambitious projects, including Project Orca, which can capture up to 4,000 metric tons of CO2 per year, and Project Mammoth, which can capture up to 36,000 tons.
