Charm Industrial has partnered with the U.S. Forest Service on a pilot project aimed at both wildfire prevention and carbon removal.
By turning forest waste, like leftover trees from thinning operations, into bio-oil, Charm plans to sequester carbon by injecting the bio-oil deep underground.
This not only reduces wildfire risks but also generates carbon credits, contributing to long-term climate solutions.
If successful, this process could scale up and play a key role in managing the long backlog of forestry biomass.
