Stellantis announced an additional $55 million investment in Archer, following Archer’s recent successful flight test milestone.
Last year, Stellantis invested another $110 million in Archer.
Archer’s eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft is part of a wave of new urban air mobility startups, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional transportation methods.
Stellantis’ investment will support Archer in scaling production and accelerating the commercialization of their aircraft.
Archer plans to complete a high-volume manufacturing facility in Georgia in the coming months. The ~350,000 square foot facility will build out 650 aircraft every year, making it one of the largest manufacturing plants by volume in aviation.
