Energy company RWE and tech giant Meta have just announced a new power purchase agreement (PPA) for offtake from a 200 MW Texas solar facility.
Meta has agreed to purchase 100% of the output from RWE’s Waterloo Solar project. This new capacity will help Meta meet growing data center power demands and power regional operations. Construction is expected to begin later this year.
This is now the third long-term contract between the two companies, totaling a combined offtake of 574 MW from projects in Texas, Illinois and Louisiana.
