Radiant Secures $100M for Nuclear Microreactors

Radiant has secured $100 million in Series C funding to develop one of the world’s first commercial nuclear microreactors.

The round was led by DCVC, with participation from a16z’s American Dynamism team, Union Square Ventures, Felicis, Washington Harbour Partners LP, and Chevron Technology Ventures.

This investment brings Radiant’s total funding to $160 million.

The funds will be used to test the Kaleidos Development Unit, a 1MW microreactor designed to replace diesel generators. These microreactors can be used for military installations, remote industry, data centers, EV charging, and more.

Radiant will deliver the prototype microreactor to Idaho National Laboratory’s DOME facility, where it will undergo rigorous testing in 2026. The startup has production commitments for over 10 reactors through 2030.

This funding round marks a big step toward bringing one of the world’s first factory-constructed microreactors to market, potentially transforming energy access in remote and off-grid locations around the world.
