Munich-based Phlair has raised €14.5 million to scale its hydrolyzer-based Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology.
The round, led by Extantia Capital and supported by other investors, will fund Phlair’s first DAC plants.
This technology leverages off-the-shelf components and renewable energy, aiming to eventually reduce carbon removal costs to under $100 per ton.
Companies like Shopify and Stripe are already customers, and a large-scale commercial plant capable of >20,000 tons CO2 per year is set for 2026.
