NRG Energy and GE Vernova have announced a joint venture to add gigawatts of electricity to the grid, supporting growing data center power demand.
The first four natural gas combined-cycle power plants will have a combined capacity of 5 gigawatts, serving the ERCOT and PJM markets. The joint venture could potentially support a future pipeline of 10-15GW across the country.
