Muon Space Raises $56.7M for Earth Monitoring Satellites

Satellite startup Muon Space has raised $56.7 million to enhance Earth monitoring.

The Series B round was led by Activate Capital, with participation from ACME Capital and existing investors Costanoa Ventures, Radical Ventures, and Congruent Ventures.

The investment will go toward development of their satellite constellation designed for precise monitoring and observation.

Earth monitoring technology can be used for a wide range of climate-focused applications. For example, Muon Space is working with nonprofit Earth Fire Alliance to target wildfire prevention.

As global climate issues become increasingly urgent, we need innovations like Muon Space’s satellites. The ability to monitor our planet’s health from space could provide insights needed to drive impactful environmental action.
