Ineratec, a startup specializing in sustainable e-fuels and synthetic chemicals for hard-to-abate sectors, has successfully raised $129 million in Series B funding. This round was led by Piva Capital, a VC firm focusing on energy and industrial startups, with additional participation from Planet A Ventures and High-Tech Gründerfonds.
E-fuels, produced by combining captured CO2 with hydrogen, could be a promising solution for sectors like aviation, shipping, road transport, and the chemical industry. These sectors often face technological limitations or high costs when trying to go green.
The demand for e-fuels is expected to triple by 2030, reaching an estimated value of $13.5 billion by 2050.
