H3X Technologies has secured $20 million for their high-power electric motors for use in aviation, maritime, and heavy industrial applications.
Led by Infinite Capital, the Series A round saw additional contributions from Hanwha Asset Management Co., Ltd., Cubit Capital, Origin Ventures, Industrious Ventures, Venn10 Capital, LP, Lockheed Martin Ventures, Metaplanet, Liquid 2 Ventures, and TechNexus.
To date, H3X has completed contracts with NASA and the Air Force, in addition to providing their integrated motors to other aerospace and defense clients.
The Series A funding will be used to develop H3X’s next generation HPDM-1500 and HPDM-2300 motors. These megawatt-class motors have the potential to double aircraft range due to their reduced weight. This allows for additional energy storage to be placed on the aircraft.
