General Galactic has raised $8 million in seed funding to turn captured CO2 into clean fuel.
Using their carbon transformation technology, the startup is taking on two challenges at once: reducing greenhouse gas emissions and providing an alternative to fossil fuels.
The startup was founded by former SpaceX and Varda Space Industries engineers Halen Mattison and Luke Neise. Their tech captures carbon dioxide from industrial waste streams and converts it into 100% renewable natural gas that can be used in current energy infrastructure.
If successful, General Galactic’s technology could help scale the circular carbon economy, creating a future where emissions are not only reduced but repurposed into valuable resources.
