GE Vernova announced a nearly $600 million investment in U.S. energy facilities over the next two years to help meet growing electricity demands.
This new investment will focus on several key technologies, including gas power, grid, nuclear and onshore wind manufacturing.
About half of the investment will go toward GE Vernova’s gas turbine manufacturing business, with new projects located in South Carolina, New York, New Jersey, and Maine.
This investment will help increase American energy security and secure domestic jobs. The firm expects to create 1,500 new jobs across several states.
As the demand for electricity continues to grow, investments like this in reliable and dispatchable energy are increasingly important.
