French company Elyse Energy has secured €120 million (approximately $126 million) for clean fuels.
Elyse designs, builds, and operates facilities that produce various sustainable fuels. These fuels are derived from various sources, including recycled carbon from industry or biomass, hydrogen via electrolysis, and low-carbon electricity.
In particular, Elyse is working on synthetic aviation fuels, addressing one of the most challenging sectors in the global energy transition.
There is a growing urgency to decarbonize aviation, which accounts for roughly 2-3% of global carbon emissions.
