Cowboy Clean Fuels has successfully closed a $13 million Series B round for their renewable natural gas (RNG) technology.
This funding round was led by Machan Investments. The company also secured $7.8 million in Energy Matching Funds (EMF) from the Wyoming Energy Authority.
Cowboy Clean Fuels uses microbes to convert waste feedstock into RNG and carbon dioxide for sequestration.
This financing will be used to further develop the Triangle Unit Renewable Energy and Carbon Capture and Storage (TRECCS) Project, the company’s first commercial project in Wyoming. Since opening in June, the project has converted 15,000 barrels of feedstock.
