Carbyon has just raised €15.3 million in Series A funding to bring its fast-swing Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology to scale.
Investors for this round include Siemens Financial Services, Omnes, Global Cleantech Capital, Invest-NL, Innovation Industries, Lowercarbon Capital and the Brabant Development Agency.
Carbyon’s DAC approach captures CO2 directly from the air at greater speed and efficiency. Compared to other DAC companies, their patented ‘fast swing’ tech increases CO2 capacity and reduces system costs.
With this funding, the company plans to develop the engineering-scale demonstrators and begin commercial pilot testing.
