Carbon removal company Twelve has secured $45 million in debt financing for sustainable aviation fuel production.
The company’s motto says it all – “a world made from air.” The startup uses captured CO2 to create low-carbon fuels, among other products.
Their E-Jet® SAF is produced from CO2, water and renewable energy. It has up to 90% lower lifecycle emissions than conventional jet fuel.
With this investment, Twelve aims to ramp up its production capabilities, making sustainable aviation fuels more accessible to airlines worldwide.
Given the aviation sector’s growing focus on reducing carbon emissions, innovations in SAF are becoming key.
