What if we could detect methane through emissions-sniffing drones?! That’s exactly what Sniffer Robotics is setting out to do.
The startup just completed a $2 million seed round led by Michigan Angel Fund. Typically, methane detection can be a hazardous and labor-intensive process. Leaks are checked manually on the ground or in the air via planes. Sniffer Robotics aims to make detection more efficient through their automated drone technology.
So far, the startup has surveyed over 150 sites across 28 states, scoping out over 16,000 leaks. Imagine what this tech could do at scale!
