Element Zero Raises $10M for Green Steel

Element Zero, a green materials platform company, has successfully raised $10 million in seed funding, led by Playground Global. Element Zero’s goal is to decarbonize the production of iron and other critical metals.

The company has developed a low-temperature mineral processing platform that uses renewable energy, enabling the conversion of iron ore to pure iron without any carbon emissions. This platform is not only environmentally friendly but also cost-effective, addressing the urgent global need for decarbonization in the heavy metals industry.

Did you know that steel production alone accounts for over 8% of global carbon emissions? With Element Zero’s technology, there is a real potential to transform this industry and make a dent in CO2 levels.

By developing a platform that can efficiently process a wide spectrum of iron ores, including lower-grade ones, Element Zero is addressing  a critical gap in the market. Their approach could not only make green steel as affordable as traditional steel, but could also set a new standard for the industry.
